Match Preview
Fremantle host Carlton at Subiaco on Friday with the outcome to decide who gets a home final, the Dockers wrapped their stars in cotton wool last week while the Blues dominant form against the Cats in recent encounters come to an end.
Fremantle were heavily criticized on Saturday for sending a b grade side to Launceston to take on the Hawks with a 116 point thumping not the outcome coach Mark Harvey was hoping for. The Dockers could make up to eight changes this week with Aaron Sandilands, Matthew Pavlich and David Mundy set to lead the inclusions. Earlier this season the Dockers defeated the Blues by 9 points at Etihad Stadium with Sandilands and Barlow best afield. However the Dockers form in recent weeks is a concern, they have won just one of their last five games .
Carlton suffered a minor hiccup last week as they Went down to the Cats by 42 points on Friday night at Etihad Stadium with Coach Brett Ratten declaring the Blues lack of polish and tackling pressure a concern heading into finals. Despite winning just two of their last five encounters they did beat the Dockers at Subiaco in round 14 last season with Chris Judd and Bryce Gibbs best afield. A win to the Blues could boost them as high as fifth and a possible rematch with the Dockers the following week.
Verdict
Expecting both sides to lay everything on the line in this game, the opportunity of a home final would be a massive boost for both sides. Despite the Blues going down to the Cats last week you get the feeling the Dockers confidence took a massive hammering last week of which they may not recover despite a host of star inclusions.
My Tip – Carlton by 12 points

Could Adam have possibly tipped against his blue boys this weekend?

St Kilda
MelbourneI'm not really feeling the Blues this season. Freemantle have been a much better and more consistent side. Like Adam said, they wrapped the stars in cotton for a while to allow them to breathe and come out firing for a home final. In Subi, their last home-and-away season home game, I just CAN'T see blues winning. Big Sandipants is back and healthy and will most likely resume his ruck domination
Dockers by 33
Q/Q: Dockers from start to finish!
the blues got a great chance in this game, freo still got a couple of goal sneaks out and pav hasnt been on fire for a while now, sandilands is no sure thing i reckon either. the pressures all on freo and they havent handled that well in the past, blues got a host of great ball users and with henderson and waite going good forward,if the blues lil men can snag a few goals as well, they in with a huge show. will be an old fashion shootout i reckon, should be a good game.

Hours away from the first bounce and im starting to get excited. I think Jarrad Waite will play a huge part in this game and if he can kick a bag of 5-7 then Fremantle can call it a day. I've been watching Eddie Betts closely and at the moment his pressure is amazing around the contested area but his goalkicking is up the shitter. If he can get that right for finals then Carlton can do wonders.
So Carlton's forwards will do it for me thanks.

Disappointing to lose this match, but at the same time i am also happy. Now we get to travel to Sydney to take on the Swans on the larger ANZ Stadium ground. It wont be easy but i think we played well enough last night to get close to the Swans.
Plus the best bit is that we escape the Saints-Cats side of the draw. If we manage to beat the Swans, we will more than likely face the western Bulldogs in the Semis.
