    Carlton vs Geelong:

Expect the Blues to show up this week. Never underestimate the confidence they will have generated from their last two games. Geelong may take their foot off the pedal alittle this week after the thrashing of the Bulldogs and rumours of the flu hitting Kardinia Park. Take the Blues at the line ( +30.5 = $1.92). Also expect them to jump out of the blocks and to be leading the game at quarter time ($2.90)

Result: Carlton +30.5 = LOSS (Geelong won by 42 points)
Quarter Time = LOSS (Geelong by 1 point)

    Hawthorn vs Fremantle

With no Sandilands and rumours of the big Pav being rested this week, the Hawks should have no difficulties in accounting for a struggling Fremantle outfit. Fremantle have not travelled particuarly well this season and this long ride to Tasmania is not going to be an easy away game. The hawks play Aurora well and expect Sam Mitchell to shine and Buddy to kick a big bag. Take Hawthorn to be leading at the end of every quarter at $1.55 and also consider the line at -31.5 depending on the conditions on the day.

Result: Hawthorn end of every quarter = WIN
    Hawthorn -31.5 = WIN (116 points)
Mitchell most disposals = LOSS ( 35 vs Shaun Burgoyne 37)
Franklin most goals = WIN (5 goals)

    St. Kilda vs Richmond

I really feel for the tigers in this one. It's been an above average season for the Tigers and it is safe to assume that they exceeded the expectations of many people. However, for the young tiger list, it is now the end of the season and things become that little bit more difficult. The Saints on the other hand will be feeling fresh after barely being tested by the Kangaroos last week. They showed signs of their winning ways and with Nick Riewoldt firing, there is no reason why the Saints cant smash the Tigers. Take the Saints to win by over 60 points at $2.85 on centrebet.

Result: Saints over 60.5 = Loss ( Won by 21 points)

    Collingwood vs Adelaide

With Collingwood at $2.85 to win the premiership (on Centrebet), and Adelaide on the other hand struggling to field their best side, expect a blow out. With the news of Nathan Bocks departure, and injuries to Vince and Knights, this game could get ugly for the Adelaide crows. Despite the fact that the Pies have secured top spot, dont expect to see them take their foot off the pedal this week. It is not in the blood of the Magpies staff and players and they will be looking to put on a show for their supporters. Momentum going into the finals will be crucial and the Pies train will not be stopping at the MCG on Saturday night. Take Collingwood to be winning by over 6 goals at half time ($3.00) and although he will be at short odds, Dane Swan will be looking to rack up the possessions (AGAIN) in a bid to win his first brownlow medal

Result: Collingwood 37+ Half time = LOSS (Adelaide by 8 points)
Dane Swan most disposals = LOSS ( 28 vs Pendlebury 30)

    Sydney vs Western Bulldogs

This game is set to be the match of the round, and I expect to see a close encounter. The Bulldogs were very disapointing last week and with the possibility of afew big inclusions this week, they will not display a similar performance to that against Geelong. The swans were very impressive against Freo last week and boast an impressive record at the SCG this year. However the Bulldogs have the edge over the Swans, winning 5 of the last 6 matches (4 of those wins have come in NSW). Barry Hall is set for a big one, as he returns to his old stomping ground, chasing his first Coleman Medal. Take either team under 15.5 points @ $2.75 and Barry Hall for most goals

Result: Either team under 15.5 points = LOSS ( Sydney by 44 points)
    Hall most goals = LOSS ( 2 vs Dennis-Lane 4)

    Port Adelaide vs Melbourne

This game shapes up to be a very interesting one. Two very even sides that will be hoping to end the season on a good note. Both teams have been in similar form however the fact that it is at AAMI makes me lean slightly more towards Port Adelaide. The Power were not convincing last week in their win over the struggling Eagles, while the Demons showed glimpses against a finals bound Hawthorn side. James McDonald announced today that he will be retiring at the end of this season and he will play in his 250th game this week. Expect Melbourne to use this as a means of motivation, however I still think that the young outift will struggle against a more mature Port Adelaide side. This will be a close game that can go either way so im giving the Power an 18 point head start. ( Pick your own line- Centrebet +18.5 @ $1.46). I wont be surprised if Melbourne win, however if they do, it will not be by much

Result: Port Adelaide +18.5 = WIN (Power by 29 points)

    Essendon vs Brisane

Brown or no Brown, I still struggle to see the Lions winning this game. Although Essendon has not been playing great football lately, I still think they will have the Lions covered. This season has been far from a good one for either side, with both coaches coming under immense pressure in the last couple of weeks. This match may come down to which club is more able to step up and play for their coach on the day. Sure, Essendon has been smashed in the last two weeks however they have faced two in form sides. Dont forget that they beat the Saints three weeks ago! The Lions 6th win of the season came two weeks ago against West Coast, and that was by no means a convincing performance! This week the Bombers will win. Take the bombers to win by Under 39.5 points @ $2.34 and also look into Jobe Watson getting the most disposals on the ground

Result: Essendon under 39.5 = LOSS (Brisbane by 27 points)
Watson most disposals = LOSS (17 vs Black 31)

    Re: Punters Picks

    West Coast vs North Melbourne

We will know before the start off this game whether or not North are still a chance to make finals. If they are not (Hathowrn wins, which looks likely), the only thing this game has going for it is the fact that it is Brent Harvey's 300th game. Boomer has been a true champion of the Kangaroos and this milestone should be enough to see the Roos get up. West Coast have put in some brave performances the last couple of weeks, losing the last 2 by a combined total of 6 points. The fact that the game is at Subiaco would be a huge factor in the past, but based on the Eagles record there this year (2w-8l), the home ground advantage counts for little. The Kangaroos can never seem to smash sides away from home so im going to take them to win by under 39.5 points @ $2.48. Another sneeky bet, Brent Harvey for most disposals in his 300th game

Results: North under 39.5 = WIN (North by 16 points)
Harvey most disposals = LOSS (26 vs Embley 33)
