Upcoming Concerts & Gigs

Thought id start a thread on any upcoming concerts or gigs that are coming up that people may be going to.

In the process of booking tickets for several concerts in December. Gunna be a mad week or so, plan to fly to Sydney to watch Guns N Roses (hell yeah!!), then Muse will be playing a few days later, then back for Bon Jovi at Etihad Stadium. Pretty good line up there.

Also a big Powderfinger fan and they are playing Ballarat in November, so will be checking them out.

Yup, I've got tickets to the Ballarat show too! My wife is going to the Melbourne and Ballarat shows... lucky devil she is. I don't get to go to many shows, what with the kids and all, but we did manage to go to the AC/DC concert earlier in the year to help rip up the Etihad surface! LOL

Seen the original Gunners when they played at Caldar Park way back in the day (Man, showing my age badly here) and was probably the best outdoor concert I've ever been to! Also saw Bon Jovi (My first ever concert as a young teenager) at the Tennis Centre - Think that was the Slippery When Wet tour... oh gawd, I'm so old!

Saw Powderfinger last month in South Africa, they played a show as part of the tour we were on and they were sensational. Such a good band, i wouldn't mind tryign to catch them a couple of times while they are in Victoria, will definitely go to Ballarat gig and maybe see them in Melbourne too. Such a shame they are finishing up.

Saw Gunners a couple of years ago and it was a good gig. Basically its just Axl Rose now, but i dont care, the guy is a god to me so will go to any gig i can while he is here. Hope they anounce an extra show. I still remember when they played at Calder, i was trying to get mum to take me (i was 9) hahaha. Never ended up happening, pity cause it was one of the last times the originals played with each other.

Have seen Bon Jovi twice, but they werent really long shows, they were part of a festival both times. Cant wait to see them this year, will be a superb gig.

Asfor Muse, would highly recommend seeing them live too, one of the best live bands in the world. Definitely worth checking out.

Yeh ive seen Muse, probably one of the better shows ive been too. Bout a year ago or so. GNR would be good to see but its not really GNR without Slash i dont think.

Guns n' Roses should be renamed to just Axl Rose nowadays. Would love to see Bon Jovi, he's a brilliant performer and song writer. Did anyone see hbim on top of the O2 Arena or something like that in London. Looked great.
Went to see AC/DC, absolutely brilliant one of the best things ive ever been to.
Apparently Rolling Stones are coming along wkith The Eagles which would also be excellent experiences. I'll have to look up the list of bands touring Australia, there's heaps.

Gunners are still awesome, even with only Axl. If you want Slash and the rest of them, th entire old band (bar Axl) are in Velvet Revolver and not nearly as good. Axl was the guy who wrote all the songs, he is a genius.

Funny ya mention Slash. He is playing in Melbourne next month promoting his debut solo album. Thats a pretty good listen to, would like to go to that gig but may not make it.

I was also at one of the AC/DC concerts in melbourne and had an awesome time. Man those guys can still rock! Angus is amazing, better with age.

Be keen to check Iron Maiden out. Just got their new album a few days ago and have been listening to it a bit, great album too.

They have gone back to the 1980's type sound they had and it has worked. All the songs bar one for for 5+ minutes too. Good live band they are, check out Flight 666 if you havent already seen it, but never seen them live myself.
