Yeah, and it wasn't just the sheer number of penalties. It was that almost all of them either weren't there, or were the blatantly wrong decision!

Gold CoastCan anyone tell me what the hell was that penalty just before half time? They showed the replay stacks of times, i honestly didnt see a penalty in that. Absolute joke, id be livid if i were a Tigers fan and they had of lost.

RichmondYeah, heck only knows.
Mind you, there were some shockers against Manly as well. Including a whole string of them early in both halves.
Heaven knows how Maxwell missed Robertson grounding the ball in the field of play on Manly's first defensive set, for example. The result of that blunder was the try to Tuqiri.
Then, in the first 20 minutes of the second half, there were some that were absolutely crucial in the outcome of the game imho.
Manly was worn down by having to defend constantly for much of those 20 minutes largely on the back of some absolutely horrible refereeing, and I suspect that played a big part in the Tigers running over the top of them in the dying minutes of the game.
(I do need to confess, however, that I had money on Manly and that may be influencing my thoughts.)

Gold CoastAgreed. Hopefully this is not a trend that continues as there were a few games this weekend ruined by some dodgy decisions.
But, tonights game was still entertaining despite that. Was suprised to see the Tigers come back fro mthat, if it had been last season their heads would of gone down i reckon. Were lucky to escape with the win, but a bright start. One team i look forward to keeping an eye on this year.
