Being a Carlton fan it aint that bad news

But bad news really for the poor bugger. He got his career back on track last year and was playing some super footy in the second half of the year. With a full pre season under his belt this year i predicted him to be one of the elite again.

I do hope he can get on the park for round 1 though, always enjoyed watching him play. Lets just hope he has a quiet one

Hmmm, not really a warranted comment there...

Good news for Tigers fans, Cousins was released from hospital today and is expected to be back training later in the week. Think it was more of a scare than anything.

Media are reporting that the Tigers had to warn him on binge drinking as this may of been what inflamed this condition. You'd hope that aint the case

Richmond said earlier today they had not given this warning to Cousins specifically.

The club advises all the players collectively on the problems associated with heavy drinking and so on, but has never had to give such a warning to him individually.

Yeah I highly doubt Cousins would go off binge drinking.. The media will spin any sort of shit to get a story and as soon as anything Cousins related pops up they always assume the worst, vultures!

Exactly right, and it's just typical of the media to spin it in the way they have.

You can imagine what happened in the various newsrooms:

"Hmm, oh, get this - Cousins was part of a group of 40-odd players at Richmond who were all advised about the dangers of binge drinking."

"Wow, ok, so we can actually say Richmond specifically warned Cousins about binge drinking."

    "Yeah!"

    "Bravo!"

    "Copy ... !"
