The story was a bit lacking, pretty much just ripped off the first one and added a bit of Tim Burton 'weird'. If it weren't for the supporting roles of Stephen Fry who played the Cheshire Cat and Matt Lucas who played Tweedledee / Tweedledum it would of been pretty dull, not even Anne Hathaway could save the movie.

Saying that, I didn't hate it, just wasnt my kind of movie, it gets a
Agreed on this, it wasn't crap, but wasn't anything special at all...Stephen Fry was as usual good and kinda stood out (which probably says something about the film) but the whole film lacked anything particularly special. As you say, Depp was just himself, infact probably within himself actually - I exptected more crazyness from him.

It started as if it might actually be quite good, but as soon as the whole rabbit hole thing happened, it was just a bit sterile really. 1.5/5.

I saw Alice In Wonderland too. It was alright, in fact some of it was entertaining actually. Tim Burton movies generally aint my cup of tea but this one wasn't bad. Its not a movie id probably watch again for a second time but it was ok for what it is.

Matt Lucas was a pissa, loved his scenes

How To Train A Dragon 3D

Surprisingly I really enjoyed this movie, it wasnt too crammed full of morals and all that other crap that comes along with most animations, it was real fun, the dragon concept was very well done and with Gerard Butler playing the head viking and getting a 3D fix at the same time, you cant really go wrong

Def a fun for all ages movie, great viewing for a lazy Sunday

I cant wait for this new Australian war movie called Beneath Hill 60. It's about aussie soldiers in World War 1 digging a tunnel under the ground to enemy positions and planting a huge explosive there to help end the war. I love these types of movies especially when they're australian.

    Date Night

It was a toss up whether to see this or Kick Ass and from what I heard I made the wrong decision.

With its big gun Steve Carell as the lead it was always going be somewhat humorous, which it was, there were a lot of 'silly' jokes and not so many 'intelligent' ones.
Playing Steve's run of the mill wife, Tina Fey, I thought she did a really good job, she lightened up the mood of the movie and the two bounced off each other and it worked.

A great story of mistaken identity with a little bit of a twist at the end, not the best movie of all time and probably one that ill forget about but that said, I liked it if only for the Steve factor

I actually didnt mind this movie. I went to watch it with my opinion already made up that it would be crap. Only went to see it cause i was bored and there was nothing else decent on that i hadn't seen yet.

Was a pretty good movie though, if not cheesy in some parts. Im a big fan of Steve Carell and loved the Mark Wahlburg cameo. I probably wouldn't recommend going to see it at the movies, but when it's on tv definitely give it a look.

Steve Carrell is a legend. His part in Ancherman as the slow and retarded weatherman Brick Tambling was sensational. But nothing compares to his part on The Office US. I love this show and would rate it much better than the UK version, sorry jeffers. Carrell has the best fake laugh in the business. He can just laugh at any moment and make it look real. Great actor.

    Beneath Hill 60

The best war movie i have ever seen. Australian film at its best showing the truth about war and its conditions, mental toughness and true hard work for miners who dig over 70 feet under ground to plant an explosive that could end the Great War. A true story that shows how relationships are built from the experiences shared between soldiers risking their life for their country. You will see a german perspective as well as the enemy, the arsehole pom commanders who end up murdering a bloke who entered the war with his son leaving their poor old wife and mother back home to fend by herself. It will show you how the Great War was back then and the conditions each soldier endured. You will experience the bombs and life risking moments that man put themselves through for mate and will see just why Australians celebrate ANZAC Day and remember those who fought for our country.

I give this movie 6 out of 5 because 5 doesn't do the film justice. Extrodinary.

I agree with you about Beneath Hill 60 Ned. I also seen this film and not being a fan of war movies, i wasnt sure what to expect going in.

It was an amazing movie, id recommend it to anyone. The acting was brilliant, the storyline (based on a true story) was great, the special effects even better. One of the better movies ive seen so far this year.
