in fact, id have to say its the best movie ive ever seen
Yep I have a few
96' Jerry Maguire lost to The English Patient
97' Kate Winslet (Titanic) lost to Helen Hunt (As Good As It Gets) <-- annoying movie
01' Renee Zellwegger (Bridget Jones's Diary) lost to Halle Berry (Monster's Ball) Retarted!
07' I dont care what anyone says No Country For Old Men, Horrible movie and it won.. if there were any decent movies that year, it wouldnt of even made an appearance! The didnt even nominate American Gangster that year!![]()
Agreed on all of those linnie. I'll add a couple:
'03 LOTR beating Lost in Translation (one of my fav movies ever)
Hmm...thats it. On a side note, how friggin awesome was 1994 - Shawshank, Forrest Gump and Pulp FictionAll three worthy of winning Best Picture.
What the hell is Lost In Translation???? Never heard of it...
Alice in Wonderland...
Well what can I say, I had low expectations of this movie, I am not a Tim Burton fan and I find that Depp plays that exact same characters with him everytime... which was the case yet again
The story was a bit lacking, pretty much just ripped off the first one and added a bit of Tim Burton 'weird'. If it weren't for the supporting roles of Stephen Fry who played the Cheshire Cat and Matt Lucas who played Tweedledee / Tweedledum it would of been pretty dull, not even Anne Hathaway could save the movie.
Saying that, I didn't hate it, just wasnt my kind of movie, it gets a![]()
"Dear John"
Not really my kind of movie, but I went along with my girlfriends anyway for a bit of a girls night.
It was meant to be quite a soppy movie, even the waitress at the restaurant beforehand told us to bring some tissues, lets just say im still waiting for the sad part..
It was very predictable and in some parts creepy, the ending was a bit abrupt and left waay too open, why invest so much into the characters relationship and leave out the best parts of a romance?
It seemed a bit rushed, pretty much what you see in the trailer is what it is, they may have relied on the success the writer Nicolas Sparks to which the movie was based on, who also wrote 'The Notebook', but no, definitely a tv movie.![]()
